The danish flying vehicle (FV) startup approached me to help them redesign their website in order to reflect their current business model, and to drive conversion.
Thrill seeking, elegant and memorable. This was the underlying theme of the redesign. Through a collaborative process we were able to amplify Airflight's bold mission to democratize piloting.
I started the process by facilitating a Design Sprint. At the start, everyone in the team talked about the company's main challenges, and their long term vision. This helped us better understand the problem at hand: "How to demonstrate Airflight's business model in the redesign, and get potential customers to sign up?"
During the process, the whole team got engaged in sketching out different approaches. With this approach, we made sure that the best ideas end up being built and tested.
After building the first prototype, it was time to involve potential customers into the process. Once the user testing was done, we knew which concerns we should address, and we got some new ideas on how to improve the site.
For example, we learned that more emphasis should be put on the safety features of the vehicle, which I addressed in the final version of the website.
Currently, the majority of people does not use the computer to browse the internet. Instead, they are using their phones. Nowadays, having a responsive design is not just a nice thing to have. It's a must!
